Eastern Caribbean

Eastern Caribbean holds many beautiful destinations.

Grand Turks: fairly empty island, but does have a lot of stores as you disembark off the ship. Good place to buy souvenirs.

San Juan: Take the tour around the town or if you like, explore the town by walking through the streets.

St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands: Take the tour around the island which ends at the pirate museum. The Museum has statues or famous pirates as well a store.  From the museum you can walk back to the ship down the hill and through the streets. Also make sure you visit Magen's Bay. It is a beautiful bay with a place to eat and rent water gears.

Half Moon Cay: Is a small island with a good opportunity to swim in a calm, clear water.  I highly recommend that you take the opportunity to relax on this water.

Western Caribbean

An affordable cruise that I enjoy is the cruise that my wife and I went for our honeymoon.
It was a seven day cruise that started from Galveston, Texas -> Montego Bay, Jamaica - > Georgetown, Cayman Island, Grand Cayman - > Cozumel, Mexico.

Each Island that we visited had memorable moments.

Jamaica: Blue Mountain Coffee, City Tour Guide who made everyone sing during the tour and who showed us how everyday life is on the Island.

Cayman Island:  One of my favorite for its very clear blue water.

Cozumel: For its clear water and for the shopping area.

We enjoyed all seven days of the cruise aboard the Carnival Conquest. The crew made every attempt to keep their guests comfortable and entertained. Our porter who was from China was very professional and did outstanding work. He made sure that we took every opportunity to look around the ship and the shows.

No matter which cruise you take to any destination, you will be sure to have endless food, entertainment, relaxation, and excitement.  Like anyplace you go, study the destinations before you go, relax and enjoy the ride, and meet the people while you are there; then you will be sure to have a wonderful and memorable experience.

Ways to Save Money

When it comes to deciding on a cruise, like all vacations, there are few items to consider to make it more enjoyable. It could be the time of the year, cost, destination, the ship.
The time of the year you decide to go on your cruise plays an important factor.  No only do you choose based on your convenience and availability, but in certain destinations there is hurricane seasons.  For example, in the Caribbeans this is usually starts late summer through fall into winter.  This factors into the cost.  Because of this, cruises tend to be a little cheaper, but you also might want to think about purchasing a cruise insurance, just in case it gets canceled.
Either way you choose, cruises tend to be expensive, but their are insider secrets that can save you a lot of money on your next vacation.
